David Lerner LAc, MTCM
David has been a Licensed Acupuncturist in Washington state since 1994, specializing in acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition and integrative/functional medicine. His approach blends the wisdom of Asian medicine with a holistic, evidence-based approach to support optimal well-being.
David is passionate about helping individuals identify the cause of their symptoms, utilizing all available resources to support them, while figuring out the most effective interventions to prevent, manage or reverse disease. With an extensive referral network and a deep understanding of integrative and conventional medical approaches, he works closely with both holistic and allopathic practitioners to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.
His practice is well suited for individuals committed to optimizing their health, slowing their biological age and increasing their health-span.
Acupuncture/Asian Medicine
David utilizes Neuropuncture, a neuroscience based acupuncture system, integrating electro-acupuncture and myofascial release techniques with Asian medicine meridian theory. Additionally, he’s trained in acupuncture point injection therapy (PIT), which uses procaine or other substances to help release myofascial trigger/motor points, consistent with the practice of Asian medicine.
His practice focuses on treating:
- acute and chronic pain conditions
- neurological disorders
- mood disorders
- digestive health concerns
- gynecological conditions
Functional Medicine
David also offers functional medicine consultations under the medical supervision of a physician at Heart of Wellness. With a focus on identifying and addressing the root cause of illness, his treatments incorporate diet, herbal medicine, nutraceuticals, nutrigenomics and lifestyle interventions. His approach is rooted in in-depth lab analysis, enabling him to develop customized treatment plans, tailored to each patient’s individual biochemistry.
His practice focuses on treating:
- preventative cardiology (arterial health, lipid management)
- chronic fatigue syndrome
- prevention/treatment of cognitive decline
- metabolic health (metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance, pre-diabetes)
- chronic infections (including reactivated EBV and long covid)
