Spring Stephens ND, MT
Dr. Spring Stephens is a Naturopathic physician and Clinical Laboratory Scientist that has a special interest in complex cases. Her ideal patient is someone who has been misdiagnosed or undiagnosed and/or other treatments have not been successful in achieving the optimal results. Her strongest passion lies in research, and she utilizes this passion as she investigates the components of a complicated case.
She delves deeply into the past events of a patient’s life seeking to find the root cause of the “dis-ease” or condition that is currently most problematic. She gains fulfillment in her work when her patients have positive outcomes from the treatment plan they created together. She utilizes years of experience in medical laboratories at many major hospitals in the PNW as well as her Naturopathic and Chinese Medicine/Acupuncture training to bring all her knowledge into the visit with you.
She has additional training in Neural Therapy as it has proven beneficial as part of the treatment options for complex cases. Her training and clinical experience allows her to identify areas of the body that have stagnation and stuck energy in the tissue. Releasing those blocks allows the flow of energy and nutrients to return to those areas to allow healing. This therapy is also useful for many types of acute and chronic issues including common complaints such as headache, back pain and many other conditions.
She also focuses on all aspects of treating the LGBTQIA community and gender affirming adjunctive care. Dr. Spring practices weight neutral healthcare, affirming body positivity and believes strongly in health at every size philosophy.
Dr. Spring received her undergraduate degree in Clinical Laboratory Science at Weber St University becoming certified as a Medical Technologist and working in various hospital and reference laboratories around the country. She attended the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) to complete her doctorate in Naturopathic medicine as well as a Master’s degree in Acupuncture. Part of her focus has been IV therapy, Injection therapy, Rheumatology, Autoimmune disorders, Environmental Medicine, and Functional Laboratory Testing.
Dr. Spring is excited to offer Neural therapy as a treatment process for many different conditions to help repair your autonomic nervous system. This therapy is designed to address both acute and chronic conditions and symptoms to help reset nerve communication between all parts of the body and improve cellular potential.
She believes in no judgment about current behaviors and works to help patients feel respected and safe, meeting the patient where they are. She helps to create a collaborative plan for foundational health.
In her spare time Dr. Spring enjoys finding new experiences in her community with her wife Delores. She loves finding fun new places to eat and exploring all the city of Olympia has to offer. She also loves gardening, being out in nature and hanging out with their 4 pups, adult kids, and grandkids.
